Children's Ministry

Our Nursery is open on Sunday mornings at 9:15 A.M. in the children’s wing of our Church. Our nursery offers an atmosphere that is nurturing and loving. Here at Eastminster’s Nursery, children will not only have fun playing with fellow peers and activities, but they will also have fun learning the scriptures. Whether you bring in a toddler or a pre-k, there will be intentional quality time given to the spiritual growth of your child.

Rock Club

Rock On in Rock Club! Grades K-5 meets Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15 A.M. in the Sunday School Room 4 in the children’s wing of the church. The Scriptures will come to life as we study God’s truth with fun and age appropriate curriculum utilizing media, workbooks, games and craft activities that all work together to allow our participants to experience the bible point of the day.  (Nursery will also be available at this time).

Kidz Lab

Kidz Lab is our Children’s Church that happens during the worship service on Sunday Mornings.  Children in grades Kindergarten through 5thgrade will kids will learn about God during both a large group and small group time from a dedicated cross cultural and Christ centered team.  Kids begin Sunday during our worship service in the worship service but at the conclusion of children’s message we transition from the sanctuary as a group to our large group time, where kids will focus on an age appropriate lesson that corresponds to the Pastor’s message for the day.  The large group component uses humorous skits and video and then we separate into age specific small groups.  During this time we play games, build things and have meaningful, constructive conversations that help the children apply the truth learned in the lesson to their daily lives

Children's Choir

The Children's Choir, for kids K-5 is a great experience for children to learn how to sing, learn Biblical passages and concepts through song, meet new friends and use their voices to praise God. Under the direction of Nikki Porter and volunteer mom, Amy Cornelius, the Children's Choir practices from 1-2PM every Saturday (except for 4th Saturdays) and accumulate attendance points redeemable at their "store" monthly, when they get to shop for cool toys, candy, and books as a reward for their participation. Parents interested in getting their children involved can contact Nikki Porter at:

Chosen Generation Youth Ministry

Weekly Meetings

Our middle and high school disciples meet on Wednesday's downstairs in the youth lounge from 7 PM-9 PM.  Every week we eat together, worship together, fellowship together and study God's word together.  We believe that God has called us to be his "Chosen Generation" (1 Peter 2:9) who can make a difference in this world!

Monthly Outings

Eastminster's Youth Group also goes on monthly social outings to places including the Carnegie Science Center, PPG ice rink and Dave Busters.

Student Leadership Group

Our students have the opportunity to participate in the "Funnel Project".  This group of student leaders are learning how to become a community of "disciple making disciples" and are eligible for special programming and outings.

Right after Sunday service till 1pm in the Youth Lounge! All youth (Middle and High school students) are invited to come. Feed yourself physically and spiritually at our Sunday School lunch for youth.

Volunteering Opportunities

For both our Children's and Youth ministries there are wonderful volunteer opportunities for those interested in serving. From volunteer leadership, to food and room preparation, to assistance with driving the vans and picking up kids for church/events.
