Black History Month Film Series

  • Eastminster Presbyterian Church 250 North Highland Avenue Pittsburgh, PA, 15206 United States

Join us on Sundays in February for the four-part PBS series, "Black America Since MLK: And Still I Rise." This powerful, engaging documentary spans the late sixties through the Obama presidency and will help us think deeply about Eastminster's congregational life and mission today. Videos will begin promptly at 9:15 each week in the Eastminster Room.

"Black America Since MLK: And Still I Rise" is appropriate for adults and mature youth. It uses historical photographs, news reports, oral history, film, current interviews, music and the life experiences of narrator and historian Henry Louis Gates, Jr. to present five decades of African American history.

Nursery and Rock Club for K-5th grade happen at this same time so parents can enjoy their own time for fellowship and study.
