Palm Sunday Worship Service

  • Eastminster Presbyterian Church 250 North Highland Avenue Pittsburgh, PA, 15206 United States (map)

Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Our service begins with our congregational processional with palm branches from Fellowship Hall into the sanctuary as we remember when Jesus entered Jerusalem for the last time amid palm branches and praises. He knew the suffereing that awaited Him there, yet he did not turn back. In the observance of this remarkable day, we come to see as well that though we know suffering is part of being a follower of Christ, we must carry on for Him. The service will include readings from Scripture, a children's sermon, a sermon dialog with Simon the Zealot and hymns that help us to approach the crossroads of suffering with courage and strength.

Kidz Lab is our Children’s Church that happens during the worship service. Children in grades K - 5 begin in the service and then transition to Kidz Lab at the conclusion of the children's message.
