An Invitation to Rediscover the Lord’s Supper This class runs May 14 to June 11 and is taught by Dr. John Burgess.
Imagine the disciples sharing meals with Jesus, now risen from the dead. Now Jesus’ words and actions at that final Passover supper before his arrest have a whole new meaning. We, too, share the table with the resurrected and ascended Christ every time we partake of the Lord’s Supper. This Sunday morning adult class will focus on how the sacraments call us into deeper communion with God, with each other in the church, and with people in the world around us. We will look especially at the Lord’s Supper and the structure of the church’s communion prayers, and we will discuss how we can participate in communion with greater joy and faithfulness.
Sunday morning discipleship classes are opportunities to grow through Bible study and learning about theology, church history, spiritual formation, faith and life issues, and ministry skills and tools. Nursery and Rock Club for K-5th grade happen at the same time so parents can enjoy their own time for fellowship and study.
