Our Women’s ministry exists to invite women to live in reconciled relationships with God and one another. We do that by creating opportunities especially for women to know and love God more intimately, to share their lives in trusting relationships with other women, and to serve in ways that support women and children.
Women’s Bible Study
All women are welcome to join this monthly study for spiritual nourishment and genuine fellowship. Through studying His word and its application in our lives, we strive to know and love God more intimately and to share our lives in trusting relationships with other women. Our current study is Praying the Psalms.
Single Mom’s Meet-Up
Join with other single moms for meaningful discussions, fellowship, and learning. Dinner and childcare are provided. Please RSVP to Rebekah at (814) 241-5039 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Most meetings are on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
Annual Fall Women’s Retreat
In the Fall we have an annual Women’s Retreat, where all women are invited to come along and enjoy a weekend of worship, small group fellowship, and hear a message from notable guest speakers. This year’s retreat focused on being “Empowered in Christ: How God Empowers Us To Weather The Storms.” Guest speakers Pastor Lorraine Williams (senior pastor of Christian Community Church, and author of “No Easy Journey”) and Leila Broughton (author of “How to Experience Victory in Your Storm”) each spoke on the theme of the weekend, blessing the women in attendance with their faith and insights. Information about the retreats can be found here on this page, as well as on the calendars and “Eastminstering” newsletter.
