The Lord’s Supper is celebrated weekly:

Our Music is an eclectic mix of gospel, contemporary Christian, hymns, spirituals and classical music, led by Nikki Porter and Nemesio Valle, III.
Eastminster’s worship is designed to be Centered in Christ. It consists of four key elements:
- Praise God.
We remember that God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3).
Confess Our Sins to God.
We admit who we are as sinful people living in a sinful world.
Hear God's Word.
We listen to God's will for our lives through the reading of the Scriptures, and the sermon which is rooted in the Bible.
- Respond to God's Word.
We have an opportunity to commit and recommit our lives to Jesus Christ, to celebrate the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper, to give tithes and offerings, and to profess our faith.
Adult Praise Team
Our Adult Praise Team leads the congregation in contemporary praise and worship singing every Sunday. They are an eclectic array of musicians from varied musical genres and technical backgrounds, including Rock, Pop, R&B, Funk, Gospel, Contemporary Christian, Classical, Musical Theater, Jazz and NeoSoul. They are followers of Jesus and love to worship together under the direction of Rev. Nikki Porter, Minister of Music. In addition to Sundays at Eastminster, they have also ministered at community events & services at Allegheny Center Alliance Church, Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Garfield Community Center, August Wilson Center, Gateway Clipper and outdoors at Highland Park. There is an ancient ideal about the use of song in worship. It is: 'For the one who sings praise, does not only praise, but also praises joyfully; the one who sings praise, not only sings, but also loves Him to whom he is singing. In joyful confession there is proclamation; in the song of the lover, there is love.' The Chancel Choir, with a musical ministry spanning many decades, takes this credo as a starting point. Drawing from music that spans a millennium and a dozen countries, we offer praise, gratitude, petition and jubilation in a variety of styles, both accompanied and a cappella. Singers of all ability levels and backgrounds are welcomed and encouraged to join. For more information on joining, contact Nemisio at: firstname.lastname@example.org
The Instrumental Ensemble, comprises musicians from the congregation who rehearse regularly and play occasionally at church services, and take Psalm 150's message to heart: 'Praise Him with the trumpet sound, with strings and pipe.' Musicians of all ability levels and backgrounds are welcomed and encouraged to join. For more information on joining, contact Nemisio at: email@example.com
Youth Praise Band
The Youth Praise Band (YPB) at Eastminster is a fun group of middle and high school students who like to sing and/or play instruments, connect with friends and most importantly, connect with God. The YPB practices on Wednesdays from 6-7PM (except for the Wednesdays after they sing, holiday breaks, and other times communicated by Ms. Nikki) during the school year (September through end of May) and sings/plays on the third Sunday of each month. For more information about joining you can contact Ms. Nikki Porter via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The Children's Choir, for kids K-5 is a great experience for children to learn how to sing, learn Biblical passages and concepts through song, meet new friends and use their voices to praise God. Under the direction of Nikki Porter and volunteer mom, Amy Cornelius, the Children's Choir practices from 1-2PM every Saturday (except for 4th Saturdays) and accumulate attendance points redeemable at their "store" monthly, when they get to shop for cool toys, candy, and books as a reward for their participation. Parents interested in getting their children involved can contact Nikki Porter at: email@example.com
