Nikki Porter’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping Eastminster’s music ministry and fostering spiritual growth within its diverse congregation. For 20 years, she has led the church’s adult and youth praise teams, choirs, and music initiatives. In 2005, she founded The Judah Project, an after-school music program that continues to nurture young talent in Pittsburgh’s East End.

A celebrated vocalist with a remarkable career, Porter has performed internationally, including at the Gospel Connection Conference in Italy, where she directed a 350-voice choir. In Pittsburgh, she has performed alongside gospel greats such as Oleta Adams, Karen Clark-Sheard, and Dorinda Clark-Cole, and has sung background for Common. She’s also graced the stage on Bobby Jones Gospel on the WORD Network and shared a duet with Zacardi Cortez.

Porter’s accolades extend beyond the stage. She was honored with the Circle of Courage Award in the category of music, recognizing her dedication to inspiring and uplifting others through her work. Her recording collaborations include projects with Mount Ararat Baptist Church and Adam Brock, as well as the CHURCH project at the University of

Pittsburgh, where she served as both a vocalist and executive producer.

Join us for this unforgettable evening of worship, music, and celebration, as we honor Nicol "Nikki" Porter for her remarkable contributions to Eastminster Presbyterian Church and the broader community. This event is free and open to the public.
