What Does Koinonia Mean?

Acts 2:24 reads that the early Christians "continuously devoted themselves to Koinonia." In ancient greek the word means something along the lines of partnership, participation, or commitment to the collective good. In this respect, faith for the early church was something that was never done alone or in isolation. We are called to walk in faith with a community. That takes real commitment in our individualistic world. So we encourage you, like the early church, to "devote" yourself to Koinonia this summer.
